Every year art colleges from around the world take part in a National Portfolio Day in Southern California. The location changes from year to year, but there is always one event held within driving distance from LACHSA. These events are free and are designed to provide a unique opportunity for high school students to meet individually with professional representatives of accredited colleges and universities and receive valuable feedback and guidance on their portfolio before they submit it as part of their college application. These events are great opportunities to be inspired and gain advice on how to improve or present a portfolio.

LACHSA hosts a College Fair one day every year in September. It coincides with the massive southern California college fair held at UCLA the following weekend, since many of the colleges and universities that are in town for that event want to come to LACHSA to meet with our students and their parents on a more personal level. Our students have a great reputation and these schools want our kids.
This is a great resource for our students and their families to take advantage of. Helpful workshops on subjects like financial planning, etc., are held concurrently.
Please keep a look out for notices about this helpful event in September.
